81 Scrambler Low and Linked

I dont post much on here, but wnated to share some pics of my Scram and the motor swap I am doing.

Swapping 5.2 MPI with mopar performance ECU and 46RH tranny into my CJ8. Looking forward to having the fuel injection and a flat belly. Also installing PSC full hydro with double end ram.

6.0 Vortec is going into my buggy.

Current basic specs...

AMC360 w TRUCK AVENGER
TF904
Twin Sticked D300
60 front w 4.56 and detroit
14 Bolt w 4.56 and detroit
40" maxxis comp compounds on 17 KMC beads
SOA w RE1.5" springs
GENRIGHT Everything...
ROUND EYE LEDS

Here is some pics from Johnson Vallley before the new rims and tires.

And my buddies Scram. There are four 8's between a few of my close friends.

Full cage will also be going in this summer and the blue scram will be getting linked front and rear.

Thank you. It has been a long time since I have posted, but some progress was made. My TF904 finally crapped out and gave me the motivation to get the engine swap done. Plan is to have a smog legal swap..

I used the MORE motor mounts that held in my 360 and just moved some mounting holes. The motor fits nicely and sits high. Making a flat belly should be really easy. Atlas 5.0 will be coming soon. I am really looking forward to the fuel injection.

Started the main crossmember and tranny mount. Still have a bunch of gusseting and some plating to do. But it is coming along.

I accomplished some more today on the scram. Crossmember is in, still need some plating. I also removed the interior in prep for the cage. I am going to need to modify the trans tunnel becuase my drivetrain height. I currently have 28" clearance at the belly. When I get to linking it I plan on lowering it about 4" or more.

I need to order a my DOM and seats this week.

I finished up the crossmember yesterday. I am happy with the way it came out. It is easy to install and remove, and is plenty strong.

Here are some updates.

Battery and ECU mount.

Start of my cage.

Seats and Belts.

Making room for Atlas and a flat belly.

Charcoal Cannister Mounted for CARB smog. Tanny cooler mount.

Main crossmember a tranny mount. The belly skid will be built later once I have the tcase mounted and drive shafts.

Awesome build! The fab work is sweet! How do you like the truck avenger on the 360? I bought my 81 with a holley carb on a 360 and I don't like the set up. Want to go with the avenger.

I can get you some more pics of the fenders. They are genright. I felt as though it wasn't worth my time to build them, and the smokin deal I got on them helped too.

As far as the truck avenger goes it was better that the carb that was on it before. To be honest one of the Mai. Reasons I did the motor swap was because of the carb. I stalled about 50 times on Jackhammer in Johnson Valley. The result was a fried starter and being stranded for 6 hours while parts were fetched.

With jimmyrig making good progress on my buddy Jay's scram I figured I better get my a$$ in gear to finish my scram. I am thinking maiden voyage on Jack Hammer trail in Johnson Valley.

Motor is running now. I just have some cleanup wiring to do and get my guages all working. I have made good headway on the cage. this thin is getting there... Here are a few pics of some of my progress.
