my garage smells like stale gas and I believe its the charcoal canister.

Does anyone know if they make aftermarket ones you can buy and if so what do you suggest because I would like to replace mine.

In the picture below I believe I am missing the PCV hose as well

thanks

Can't find it now, but there was a pretty good thread on this topic. If I recall correctly, a new direct replacement is not available, but you can get one that is close enough to use (you have to plug up a couple of extra ports).

I'm kind of curious why you want to replace yours? It looks to be in okay shape from the photo...

With all the people out there that have gutted their emission control systems, I bet someone has one sitting in their junk pile.

Not sure this would work, but I'm sure Spankrjs could help point you in the right direction.

That's pretty normal in my garage, although recently the smell of gear oil has been overpowering everything else...
;)

You may have a problem with the canister, but if it's not cracked or something, I'd be looking at the rest of the fuel system (like that open port on the canister... which I believe is the canister purge and should be connected to a "T" that sits between the PCV solenoid and the carb). If your emissions stuff has been modified/removed, you should probably at least put a cap on that canister port.
