T-5 to T-18 bellhousing

Will a T-5 transmission bolt up to a bellhousing for a 77 j10 T-18? I am going to change my T-18 and Dana 20 transfer to a T-5 and Dana 300. I really don't want to buy another bellhousing.

From what I have heard, you can use a T5 with some mild modifications, otherwise your best bet is a T-176 or T-150 bell housing which is suppose to be what works for a T-18 swap, at least to an AMC engine. Go to Advanced Adapters web page and they have ingo on ther about that stuff that will help you out,,]

The T5 will not bolt to the T-18 bellhousing. You might be able to drill it to accept the T5 bolt pattern, but I'd just try to find a used one -- I sold mine for 40 bucks with I did the exact opposite swap in my CJ-7.
