Dash lights

I have a few of the indicator lights in the dash that have burnt out (defrost and headlights). Do you replace the little bulb or the whole plastic insert? I took the defrost indicator out and took the front cover off and I see the little tiny bulb with the two wires wrapped around the posts, is there a number for that bulb? Thanks for any info!

I replaced the bulbs because I'm a cheap basterd that knows how to solder You can buy complete replacements from pretty much any part store I think, just $ and seemed a waste of the stock cover/housing.

I just went to Radio Shack and got 12v bulbs that looked close IIRC.
