    Problems with Bestop Install

I've been working on this for the past few weeks and bought some foam tube and was able to close the small gap in my doors. 13mm was super tight on the bar, had to lube it up a little to get it on there but it worked nicely...

    Problems with Bestop Install

I haven’t been on here in a long time but I’m having the exact same problem with my top that I purchased last year. Mine also sagged like crazy. Bestop replaced it under warranty but it took about 3 months for the new top to arrive. Haven’t got it on yet, but I’m going to have to work on the...

    Soft Top Sag

Hey all, I think this is a common problem across all Jeeps but my soft top is sagging above the front seats by the doors. I’ve seen solutions for YJ and TJs but anybody fixed this on the CJ? This top is less than one year old. I was thinking about making two more rods that could go from that...

    What's on your Work Bench?

How do you like the m12 ratchet? Have enough power? Thinking about getting a ratchet and a 1/2” impact in m12 but worried it won’t have the power. Love my other m12 stuff

    What's on your Work Bench?

Hacked up a couple of TJ uppers to work with the Bestop and welded the holes on the YJ lower in preparation for paint. Breakdown and sanding happens this weekend, hopefully paint next week.

    What's on your Work Bench?

D'oh - didn't even realize you were supposed to measure inside bead to bead. I'm a dummy. Aren't they supposed to be stamped somewhere, as well? I'm going to sell these (I have center caps too) and want to make sure I'm not telling people they are something they're not.

    What's on your Work Bench?

I'm confused. I changed wheels outs and I thought these were OEM wagon wheels but I can't find a stamp on them and they look to be 9" (didn't OEMs only come in 6 and 8" width). I guess they're aftermarket?

    Nice gift came today

I tried to wear mine out and about tonight but the baby decided to spit up on it before I got out the door, haha. Great shirt, thank you.

    What's on your Work Bench?

I went this direction because there are so many different SBF bellhousings and clutch setups...this seemed the easiest and since I already had the transmission out for the rebuild it was the time to make it happen. I exchanged several emails with the RAM Clutch support guys. They were always...

    What's on your Work Bench?

Picked up these. Was disappointed they were legit flat and not more of a satin so we'll have to change that. I currently have Wagon wheels with a set of OEM center caps. Are those easily sold? The wheels are in fine shape (they're painted black, though) but the centercaps could use some love.

    What's on your Work Bench?

The RAM Clutches 78142. The collar of the bearing retainer on the T176/177 is 1.435" and this fit perfectly. I paired it up to the Wilwood 260-15098 master cylinder. No modifications needed, just measured and shimmed it like normal. The alignment stud that comes with it is the right...

    What's on your Work Bench?

Got the T177 installed with the new internal hydraulic throwout and twin sticks on the D300 and it didn't blow up instantly when firing it up or driving it around the shop back and forth. I guess we'll know if she'll hold together when I get going down the road. Did have a scary moment when I...

    What's on your Work Bench?

That's it. The thrust washers in this kit are plastic (i'm not sure you can find a small parts kit that has metal thrust washers any more) however I reused my metal thrust washers because they were in good shape.

    Full soft top advice

I see a thread about adding a third bow by sourcing the bow from an old kayline. Is that what you did? Or did you fab something?

    What's on your Work Bench?

I used Novak's master kit. Came with Japanese bearings (not Timken) but we'll see how they hold up. A good pair of snap ring pliers and a large bearing splitter is all you really need to do it. Press helps but is not required. I had to replace the reverse idler gear because it was chewed up. I...
