Iron duke build

So yet again I've taken my build another direction. I bought a remanufactured short block that had the same casting numbers as my original engine but a lot cheaper than a rebuild. I'm going to have my original head rebuilt maybe with light porting. I'm going to order this cam in a kit from comp cams.

I've got a hedman long tube header and a Weber carb kit already.
The short block doesn't come with push rods. When I checked summit racing and a few others they showed no push rods for the duke. Are pushrods generic? I'm Assuming I need an adjustable one to check length.
Does anyone know of an intake that's better than the stock one besides those Pontiac super duty ones? I feel I'd lose all my torque with those big intakes.

Ive got the remains of a fully rebuilt duke laying around that came in a CJ-5 project. If you need a new pan, TC, or any other bits for it, id sell them cheap, they were brand new and painted blue.

What's a tc? I may need an intake and a varajet carb. I've decided I'm going back to 100% stock again. Reason being I only got to drive mine maybe 100 miles before I "started to do a quick paint job"

I got that short block in. Had to return it. It was listed as the jeep gm 151 but it had the gm 60° bellhousing. I've got a shop that's going to do some machine work on my original block. It's getting bored .020, .010 on the crank. The first shop I went to told me I had a crack in the block. Turns out it was just a scratch of some kind. Probably during the original machining of the block. It's in an area that's left as cast nothing of any importance. I'm also going to have the shop install the cam bearings. Heads are getting new seals and guides. he's also going to press my pistons when the rebuild kit he ordered gets in. I may look into doing a light porting in the heads. I'll have to order pushrods when I find out what length I need. anyone know of a good rebuild guide for these engines? With torque specs and such?

Oh it's getting a resurfacing of the block and head and compression will be about 9.3:1

Yeah, don't go to the first shop again if they thought a scratch was a crack.

The guy that has it now I wanted to go to originally but he's got a pretty big backlog. He does mostly dirt track engines. My cousin did really well the 2 years he ran one of his 383s. Between machine work and parts he's only going to charge me 300$ after I give him a running 304 and a360 with a bad cam. Both of which were free to me. The rebuild kit cost more than that. He said I'd have to wait 6 months if I wanted a full rebuild. Only 2-3 weeks for block and head work.
