    First scrambler build!

The lift is bds 4.5” with M.O.R.E 3/4 or 1” shackles ( can’t remember exactly). No shins that I can recall unless they came with the springs. To be honest I don’t really know if the Jeep will re-center itself. I just haven’t driven it that much.

    First scrambler build!

It’s not easy to describe but at highway speeds...over 45..it feels like it I’m white nuckles to keep it between the lines. Ball joints were replaced during restoration.

    First scrambler build!

On another topic..I’m having trouble getting my steering dialed in. I’ve probably not put more than 100 miles total on the Jeep since restoration. It has all new steering and suspension components...gear box, shaft, drag link and tie rod. Gear box brace, steering stabilizer etc. It still has a...

    First scrambler build!

Thanks. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for that. I do have a few extra bolts for the rail from a bestop hardware kit I bought for the cj7 so I could always add a few more and have all the hardware match

    First scrambler build!

Hey guys. Just wanted to share my latest addition to the Jeep. Added a bestop full top and doors this week. So far I’m very happy with it. I found mixed reviews on it but seems like a great fit. I will be using it mostly for a full length bikini top since it doesn’t get used much in the...

    First scrambler build!

I’ve got a bds 4.5” with .5” shackles ( can’t remember brand name of shackles) bfg mt 33x12.5. I have room for 35s but it still had stock gears....for now

    First scrambler build!

Here's the 7 that I've been tinkering with. All original 86 with original paint. I buffed the hell outa it this past winter... turned out pretty good.

    First scrambler build!

Glad you are still enjoying that tonneau cover. I did get the decals from Phoenix Graphics and from what I can tell they are the exact same graphics that were on the Jeep originally. Went on easier than I expected...just use a lot of soap and water. I have a cj7 that I’m tinkering with...

    Need seatbelt mounting help

I'm trying to mount new seat belts in the scrambler and cannot remember how the 3 point harness mounts. Obviously one end mounts to the rollbar, the "retractor" end mounts to the inside wall of the tub behind the seats but I cannot remember where the 3rd end mounts. I looked on my cj7 and it has...

    Clutch linkage issues

Finishing up the last bit of final touches on the scrambler and I'm having a hard time with the clutch. There was a new clutch and throwout bearing installed before engine was dropped back in. I've got the linkage backed all the way out and still cannot get it into gear while running. I can get...

Anyone running Bds 2.5" lift ?

Hey guys. I pulled my jeep out of the shop today for the first time since the body was assembled. I installed the bds 4" lift and running 33x10.5 bfg at's. My shackles are supposed to be .5" of lift. The jeep looks like it was way too much lift for the tires. I don't want to go any larger on the...

Need some wiring help with wiper switch

I've discovered that my wiring to my switch isn't working on the new painless harness. I BELIEVE it's because I have an intermittent wiper switch. The painless kit came with a new pigtail to plug into the switch but you have to reuse the factory plug. Well that's what I did but now I'm missing...
