    Gladiator

He’s not doing any heavy towing. Maybe two quads, or jet skis in the future. I like it, does ride nice with that long wheel base. He wants me to paint the scrambler white to match the Glad. Ain’t happening.

    Gladiator

My oldest bought one while out in Seattle. Traded in the TJ. He has the Rubicon. Made the cross country trip hauling a 5x8 panel trailer, loaded to the hilt. Handled nicely. Gas mileage, which we all know and don’t care about with Jeeps, wasn’t great. You could see that tach revving up...

    howdy all

Happy birthday. My son loved Colorado. Spent 5 days in Arvada at my buddy’s home. Absolutely beautiful. Welcome to your soon-to-be retirement. I’ve been retired 7 years, and I think I’m working more now than I did when I was employed.

Welcoming a new Glad into my Jeep family

Well, my son out in Seattle went and purchased a 2021 Rubicon Glad. We took one for a test drive when I visited him in March. Rides good, beefy. Has that tough feel compared to my JK sport. Better gas mileage too. He wanted the bed to stow his dive gear when he graduates and starts working...

    AMC 360

Have a 360 in my scram. Pretty straight forward swap. Only issue I still have is the steering shaft rubs against the #2 exhaust header tube. Very tight fit there.

    What are you guys cooking!?

My tradition for the past 10 years is a beer can turkey for thanksgiving. For Christmas it’s prime rib. In the oven as I type

My son’s trek cross country in his tj Seattle bound

I know it’s not our scram (probably wouldn’t make it), but he made it from NJ to Seattle with a trip through northern CA. The trans cooling lines blew out in western Ohio, which caused him to spend the night in a hotel while it got repaired. Spent 5 days outside Denver at my old army buddy’s...

    Bad wiper motor?

They were working fine at the beginning of our trip. No wiggle at the pivot point. I’ll wait for it to clear up before breaking it down. Thinking maybe that burn smell was the motor taking a crap. I’m sure it’s the original one. But I’ll post an update when I figure out the culprit

    Bad wiper motor?

While driving today in the rain, noticed the wipers were struggling going from left to right. But on the return, they worked smoothly. Noticed a drop in voltage when it would swing to the right, but returning the voltage shot up. After a while, they struggled to sweep to the right to the point...

Official CJ-8.com Forum Lurker Intro Thread!

Same here. Where I live a lot of the parents buy their high school senior kids jk’s or I’ll see a soccer mom behind the wheel. My son and I usually play the game if there’s gonna be a return wave. My son is the young generation and at least he’s keeping the cj spirit alive. He’s only 19, but...

Official CJ-8.com Forum Lurker Intro Thread!

My son found an old picture of me when I was in the army, back in the 80’s manscaping wasn’t a thing, and my unibrow was thick and woolly. He wants to make a unibrow grill for our scram

Official CJ-8.com Forum Lurker Intro Thread!

Me and and son took our Jeeps to a Jeep clubs’ toys for tots meeting last week. All mall crawler jk’s. A few off road jk’s. All parked in a mall parking lot, about 75 Jeeps. Only one CJ-8 (mine) and a beat up off road Comanche. Only 3 people showed any interest in the cj. And two of them were...
