We are starting another Scrambler build.
Plan is to make it a nice driver!

Here is what we are starting with.
1982 Scrambler in pieces.

Frame is tweaked and will need straightend (this is why).

Frame blasted and coated with primer

Adding new rear cross member

Sliding some axles under it so we can get it to the frame shop to get it pulled.
Will probably have to plate the front once it's straight.

My head is spinning!!!!! This project has kinda been on a temporary hold which is fine.
Besides this scrambler build we have Clay's CJ7 going, another CJ7 driver (auto, a/c, d44 rear) dad and I are doing a frame off, I am also accumulating parts to build a D60 front and 14 bolt rear to swap into my rig. It's hard to keep all these parts accounted for!

We hauled the tub and body parts to frame shop Friday.
Dave did a great job straightening the frame everything fit up really well.
Forgot to get pictures while we had body parts on.
It was a site, Chestnut Brown Metallic tub and grill, peacock green fenders and a black hood!

The local place that powder coats for us has been running a half price special that ends Monday!
So we busted tail yesterday to get it all stripped down so we could plate the front of the frame.

After further discussions with dad (Ken, pappywaho) we are changing directions a bit on this project.

Picking these up next weekend.

You will love the TDK and TJ setup. As been discussed here a few times we have one in the shop now with a 5.7 HEMI between the rails. TDK does top notch work

Not to hijack, doesn't your build use JK axles?
Why did you go for the wider JK vs. TJ axles?
