Moving along, stupid hot last night, I don't know how people live down south... I finally packed it in and went inside and got some food and hung out with the kiddos and watched star wars :)

Gas tank and skid are out, so is the heater setup... had to cut out the rear crossmember to get the bumperettes out... if it stays nicer out humidity wise, I hope I can get the rest of this torn down.

That is to funny, we can't figure out how you can handle being cooped up inside all winter or freezing outside for 6 months, and not being able to drive your jeep for 6 months. And then all the people from the north who move to the south end up saying the same thing about the winters up there and say they got sooo tired of the winters. And then you have the southwest. Brutal. Dry as a bone and 110 - 120 degrees and no perspiration so no sweat to cool you off. Feeling like being behind a jet engine exhaust if there is a breeze. Guess it was what you get use to. I do like driving my Jeep year round :)

Oh we sweat plenty :) Many days recently I've walked into the house and pitched my shirt right into the wash. Looks like we got up to a cool 112 today, 116 predicted for the weekend!

Born in Phoenix, a longtime ago. It was a dry place, but more humid now from all the pools an water. Actually have some distant cousins in Cave Creek. My great aunt had a house there, and a very well known older actor, Hollywood star has lived in it for decades now. I was actually thinking a little farther to the west also, but your area is hot. :)

I am on shirt #2 today and 2 of them last night... the humidity is pretty intense from the tropical storm that actually isn't raining on us, but just misting from time to time and holding steady at 88 degrees... just so thick.

Firewall was a rust mess, just getting all the metal off and to the recyclers at this point.

I hope to get a lot of it torn down, family coming in late next week and want to wrap this up and get the yard looking nice and have a few days off to relax.

Dana 300 is out, already sold it, guy coming today... got to get the rest of the front end parts off and yank the motor, not much left to do here, which is nice.

Are some of the frames ok and you end up selling some ?

It is hit or miss... sometimes they are decent and sometimes they are just too far gone to even be fixed.
I have one of each now... one has to be sold as scrap, the other has been repaired and looks decent.... stll not a lot of $$ in them though.

Moved some things around today and got most of the Jeep torn down.. have to pull the motor essentially and remove the transmission.

Just have to pull the engine... all other stuff is off, trans/case removed, P/@ is off... hopefully I can get this out and the other one in tonight and get it all done... need to get back to building instead of tearing apart!

looks like some sort of military contraption for moving a piece of equipment around tight spaces
Not the ideal way to do this, but I am out of space at the moment and needed to tuck everything in, so this is what I had to do... soon the rest will be cleaned up and hopefully in the future I will have a bit more space.

If it were on an pallet or go-jacks I'd say it was there to stay a while. Hook that bad boy to the loader and sling it on the scrap trailer to free up some space. Hope that it's cool up there for you with little humidity. Hotter than the hinges on the gates of hell here!

Someone is coming for the T176 and the wheels, so I gotta get back after it tonight... after all this is done, no more Jeeps to take apart :)

Jeeps are stripped and done, moved around a lot of stuff, mowed the lawn and probably lost 2-3 gallons of sweat yesterday... all good.
