Good to see progress !

Are U going install roll bar?

Yes, the roll bar will go back on. I need to get hardware for it though, it has always just been sitting on there and was never actually attached. I'm still debating about the brush guard. It kind of blends in with the black muscle grill insert.

Not much of an update on this...progress slowed due to weather and not wanting to transport a bare metal bed in the rain! However, today it made its way to the Line-X Shop where it is getting color-matched bedliner in the bed (I know, bedliner ? but this saves on body work and is the best stuff) and then will come back to the body shop next week to finish up. Hope to have it back in a week or so if all goes as planned! Sorry no pics.

Line-x is done. Got it color matched and sprayed in the bed and the wheel wells. Now just have to do a final sand and then paint. The blaster found a few more holes in the tailgate so it needs a little bodywork and it will be ready to paint. Hope to have color on it all by the end of the week!FDE61241-75A8-4132-B055-C1C258D5586F.jpeg891C81F7-BDA7-4F42-893B-28821B049155.jpegA1DB8AA0-EC8A-43C8-89D4-0CC3EE1D2CCA.jpegA8D35626-BFAE-4A64-A087-952E90558FBB.jpeg4F86E594-FB4B-492B-BAC3-688EAEF431B4.jpegA921B94B-DAC8-44EA-90D6-3B500E3F7ED0.jpeg2FFB784C-3B22-40CF-93D1-16F458B378E9.jpeg

J10 is done at the body shop! Picked it up last Friday and took it straight to a friends house and started in on the 4” Skyjacker lift. Got the front mostly done and ran into some issues on the rear and called it a day. Had to order a couple parts and will get it finished up soon. I threw a OEM chrome wagon wheel and 33” BFG on it to see how it looks. It doesn’t look centered because we haven’t tightened everything down and the front wheels are turned slightly.

Finally got the lift done! The rear leaf springs fought us the whole time but we prevailed! Got her on the ground, everything tight, and pulled outside for some pics. Next will be back to my place to put all the trim, lights, grill, etc. back on. Then to the alignment shop.

Killer look and stance ! If you could make the area between the headlights stay black, to me that would look great.

I’m going to be using a black “muscle” grill so it will still be black. I had the painter spray the rad support black so you won’t be able to see body color behind the black grill. Should look really good.

Still moving but not much in the way of pics. Dropped the seats, armrest, and door cards off at the upholstery shop. Pulled the decals out of the tube so they could lay flat and get ready to install. Still working on cleaning, polishing, and refurbishing trim parts. Refurbished gauge cluster is from Jeep Recyclers.

I've had a few J truck projects and love how rugged and simple to work on they are. People do seem to like the Scramblers more than the trucks but the stepside J trucks definitely get looks. Attaching a link to my silver J truck. https://photos.app.goo.gl/G2Twj8mwzPVbgzvw5
That is a beautiful Sportside! I actually just picked this one up last week! 1982, 360, 4-speed, 97,000 miles, all original.

How do you think those colors on the new stripes compare to the OEM stripe colors?

I haven’t held them next to each other yet. The ones on the original are faded so I need to see if there is a section in the door jamb that isn’t. It really doesn’t matter to me because they will all match since it’s a completely new kit. The colors look great and will really pop on the Almond Beige.
