I've pulled a 6000lb skid loader on an all steel trailer with mine and the back didn't even squat that much. Mine is still running complete stock suspension, as is this one, and I have at least 4 inches more clearance

My oldest bought one while out in Seattle. Traded in the TJ. He has the Rubicon. Made the cross country trip hauling a 5x8 panel trailer, loaded to the hilt. Handled nicely. Gas mileage, which we all know and donā€™t care about with Jeeps, wasnā€™t great. You could see that tach revving up while traveling uphill. We didnā€™t have a single complaint about what couldā€™ve been done on improvements.
His came with the hard tonneau cover which he liked so he can keep his dive gear in the bed, secured. His first purchase will probably be the Mopar lift, coilovers and 35ā€™s.
Oil change was a breeze, except we thought the oil would come out like my middle aged low stream piss, but it came out like an 18 year oldā€™s. Made a mess in the driveway. Heā€™s got about 10k on it now since May 1 when he bought it.

Is it the diesel? That should do pretty well towing.

Gas is a much better towing Gladiator. Check the diesel specs. Not the diesel youā€™d expect

Heā€™s not doing any heavy towing. Maybe two quads, or jet skis in the future. I like it, does ride nice with that long wheel base. He wants me to paint the scrambler white to match the Glad. Ainā€™t happening.

The on paper max specs might be better but the diesel gladiator destroys the gasser if you towing up any sort of grades. I towed with the 3.6 and could barely keep it above 40 going up the grades out I70 from Denver. Dangerous if you ask me. The diesel Gladiator will pull our 2500 lb camper up at 65 mph with power to spare (and about 10 more mpg). If you're looking to tow close to max with either you should probably get a Ram or similar.

Reading a bit about it after what you've all said, it looks like limit on the diesel in the Gladiator is actually to do with it over heating due to the limited grille area, not the torque of the engine. Its a far higher torque engine than the V6 spark plug engine.

Having said that, I went with the 3 litre Duramax (which has a similar torque rating to the VM Motori Ecodiesel) and it pulls like a school boy towing our 7400 lb RV. It'll hold 70 up Vail Pass without complaint.

I just finished a 3500 mile trip where I averaged 14.1 mpg. Not towing I'm averaging 27 mpg.
