    Axle lengthening vs shortening?

If you want factory WT width is cheaper/easier to buy WT axles. There are scenarios where lengthening might be needed, but with CJ frame width and available front axles its narrowing or outboarding.

    Weird/Scary steering problem

How much is a little? Fresh/Good mounts flex slightly before the tire moves in a driveway test . If they are old and rubber, replace them with poly. I had a stock 82 CJ7 with worn out bushings that would do exactly what you are saying.

2"-3" Lift with a ride the wife will like?

From the prices I have seen you may want to find a good set of YJ springs and add the parts you need. RE2785 ($66) for the front shackle conversion, 2.5" spring plates, etc. Some kits come with brake line extenders vs extended brake lines, unneeded t-case drops, lower end shocks.

    Air Compressor Filtration

Looking to add a basic ($100-150) filtration system in the shop. There is a lot of different combinations/options out there (sealed cartridge filters, loose desiccant refill, etc.). Run basic air tools and some painting projects. Any experience/recommendations?

This wavy is at lease some rust between the panels. Those holes were filled with bondo so someone had been there before. I have another parts fender that I can section that outer skin from. What is the best stuff to use to kill that rust between?

    Rosco1974's 1985 CJ7 Project

Its warming up in Utah, so back at it. Friend gave me a pair of oem fenders. They are cut for fender well headers so he didn't want them. Passenger side is great. Drivers side not so much. Backside is straight. Found quite a bit of bondo and wavy panel.

I went to the Jeep/Volkswagen dealer for a recall on my Jetta and passed by a few Gladiators. Is it me or are the door and body panels extra wavy on these new bodies and especially the doors?

What is the best replacement for front fender to buy?

The aftermarket ones I bought fit well, but the passenger side flare area was not fully stamped. They sent me a replacement and same thing. Drivers side was fine.
