The big red one aka it needs a name

On the plus side, with this government job combined with the number of holidays they observe here, I've got a 5 day 'weekend' starting Thursday. Going to wrap up the master bathroom (electrical & painting) then jump on 'ScramBRO' (just trying that one on for now) & at least get the steering...

Probably was there...they're more touristy. This is the sleepier, low-key spot which is just our speed. Not uncommon here to pull up to certain beaches and be the only/almost the only people there. Very unpretentious, not terribly materialistic, strong sense of community...folks will pull you...

    D44 rear in Scramblers?

It was resto-modded in Florida about 6-7 years ago, so much of the original stuff is gone. I think the doors might be off of a YJ, Gr8Tops half cab & bulkhead, the windshield *might* be the original. It has a Venezuelan VIN.

I'll have to see what I have on my phone. This is the gate area on St. Thomas.

    D44 rear in Scramblers?

The one that I just bought is an '85 manufactured in Venezuela and it has a factory 44 rear.

If we were still in OH, we would both be at home since the schools are closed. I probably would have been happy to have the time in the shop, but I prefer the climate & scenery here. Even got to commute to St. Thomas for work via seaplane.

We'll have to wait & see after the stay at home order is lifted :ROFLMAO: Took her out for the inaugural run this evening to get gas at the local gas station/watering hole/take-out joint & got a couple of compliments. She'll definitely need a more thorough going over & tweaking...started...

The big red one aka it needs a name

Of course there had to be another hiccup...the broker told the rolloff driver the wrong way to load the container, so he had to back all the way back down the road & find a spot where he could drop it, turn around & reload it the opposite way, so I didn't have time to finish unloading & drive...

The big red one aka it needs a name

This just may be the first Monday I've looked forward to EVER :ROFLMAO: I told my supervisor I would be in late...1/4 tank (max for shipping, otherwise it becomes a hazardous material) will get me to the closest gas station. (y)

The big red one aka it needs a name

Hahaha...we were sitting at a red light with the top off the wife's Jeep for the first time on our way to meet up with the Jeep club for Mardi Croix & a rasta pulled up behind us...holy crap!!! And I still feel odd driving around with an adult beverage (which is perfectly legal here as long as...

Customs cleared, BMV is closed so they told me to just keep all of the paperwork in the Jeep in case I get pulled over (fat chance...I see people driving around with clouds of weed smoke billowing out of their cars), dropping the container at home on Monday :giggle:

Y'know...years ago I briefly entertained the idea of Scrambro :ROFLMAO:

Yes, yes..."soon come" :giggle: Broker just called & will hopefully have the container cleared through customs today, so maybe "tomorrow" :ROFLMAO:

Waiting for word on where we are in the process. The container should be on island at this point sitting at the port. With the semi-lockdown in force tomorrow, only brokers (I'm using the same one who handled our vehicles when we moved) can meet with BIR (Internal Revenue to pay the 'road tax'...

And in keeping with the theme, I'm shipping this in the midst of a pandemic & the island is going into lockdown right about the time the container should be clearing customs... Ship is due Monday, so let's see how quickly we can make this happen...have a feeling I won't be able to take care of...

Project JPSK8 - my last build??

My crates from OH finally arrived last week (long, ridiculous journey...didn't even leave OH until late January, then sat in FL for two weeks followed by a 1 week boat tour of the Caribbean). All of my larger shop tools & Scrambler parts that I didn't have time to bolt on were in there.
