    EFI on 4.2 from 95 4.0

Well buying the Cherokee didn't work out, but I ended up purchasing a Holley Sniper off Ebay. I hadn't planned on buying one at this point, but the auction price ended up several hundred below retail price.

    EFI on 4.2 from 95 4.0

I have been looking at the Holley Sniper EFI. Would I need to change my intake for this? I thought I could use the stock intake and just replace my carb?

Will the front seats fit in the scrambler?

    EFI on 4.2 from 95 4.0

I was hoping to keep my 258 as it has very few miles since a rebuild, but that may not be the best option. I appreciate the insight.

    EFI on 4.2 from 95 4.0

I am bidding on a wrecked 95 Jeep Cherokee for really cheap to take the parts off for adding fuel injection to my Scrambler. Can you use any other parts from the 4.0 on the 4.2? Would using the head be worth it off an engine with 190k miles? Can you use the ignition system? Any other parts...

Switching from CB to GMRS radios

I was happy with mine. It is only the 5 watt unit, but it worked with everybody I needed to talk to. I did get my license before the trip and it wasn't bad other than spending 70 bucks on not much of anything. Only bad thing is I had the top off the last night and the rain seems to have...

2018 Scrambler Owners Association National Scramble - SMORR, Seymour, MO

I was able to pick up a set of soft 2 piece doors yesterday. I think maybe I might run them with the bikini top and that would keep out most rain if needed.

Switching from CB to GMRS radios

Just ordered the 5 watt for the SMORR trip later this month. Thanks. It will be interesting to try it out.

Any Jeep pics you want to share?

New tires and wheels on the Scrambler today. Does it look bad not having the original wagon wheels? Mine were so rusty and old I decided to try something different until I can restore the old ones.

2018 Scrambler Owners Association National Scramble - SMORR, Seymour, MO

Sorry one more question. Do you guys run CB radios to communicate while on the trail? Thanks for the email address, I got a hold of them and they are fine with me dropping off a trailer the night before.

2018 Scrambler Owners Association National Scramble - SMORR, Seymour, MO

I was also wondering if anyone knows if it is okay if I take my camper or jeep down Tuesday night and leave it overnight. The person that was going with me initially backed out so I have to make two trips. Otherwise if anyone is going through the Columbia, MO area down there and can pull a...

2018 Scrambler Owners Association National Scramble - SMORR, Seymour, MO

I was just curious what people are doing for tops/doors on their Scramblers. I was thinking about just using my bikini top, and leaving hard top and doors at home since I don't have half doors. Are other people bringing their hard doors and such? Looking forward to the event. Got new...

2018 National Scramble – ‘Adams Family’ BBQ

Please put me in for 2. Not sure if the second person will be showing up yet though. Hope it's not too late, if so it's no problem.

When is everyone arriving at SMOR?

I will be there on Wednesday 5/20. Hopefully a bit after lunch. Might need to take two trips to get the camper and Jeep down though and that would make it evening before I am done.

YJ Power brake conversion on Scrambler

I was curious if any of you had done the YJ Brake booster upgrade? My Scrambler right now has manual brakes and I am tired of them. I ordered a YJ Booster/Master Cylinder on ebay that comes with the bracket. The one part I am not sure about is what adapters I will need to hook my existing...

Thinking about adding a catalytic converter back to my jeep

My 83 Scrambler with a 258, and it hasn't had a catalytic converter since I originally drove it in 95. I am trying to get it back on the road and thinking about putting a cat back on it to make it easier to pass inspection. Does anyone know a place in mid-Missouri that will pass a vehicle...

New member introduction, 1983 Jeep Scrambler

I just got the Scrambler back that I drove for my senior year of high school and through college. It was used as a farm truck and not maintained well, but mechanically it is all there. It still runs and drives with the ignition switch bypassed as there is an issue with the ignition system...
