Hey ag4ever I thought something like this is what killed off the scrambler at a deer lease in west Texas. I remember driving way out there 30 some years ago and way out in the distance seeing pickups with couches mounted to a superstructure 20 some feet up in the air with a guy and a rifle...
I don't know it as fact, but driving from your location to some of these places you venture is some distance and you might have BW beat for total distance. But he might have you nailed in longest distance in a one trip distance.
Go aluminum ! Then you can drive in the salt winters. Otherwise you might be 70 before you get back on the road, and only driving in the summer means about 2 years of driving before you are toast. Sorry just being realistic
I'm a Weber / charcoal guy myself. I have 3 different sizes Webers and can do just about everything I want with them. More work but better flavor. I do have a charcoal smoker that I have and have used for more than 35 years I break out once in a while
My brother has the Weber SM and likes it. A friend of mine has a Traeger and produced the best ribs on it I've ever had. Just melted in my mouth. Have to admit he is not a professional, but is good enough to be on TV a few times because he is good.
Or just get that first scratch over with, then you are good. Took me about 2 years at a new job 2nd day. Looked like it was intentional and in an odd place to even happen at  Anyway that paint looks beautiful !
