So pretty stoked about going to the Va 4wd event this weekend. First time in a long time for me. I went there regularly years ago.
Anyway, I need to start protecting the underbelly of the cj, so as a start, I made this transfer case skid plate. I had planned on protecting the transmission...
I added some decals to my Scrambler this past weekend....Notice the one between the wipers too! I'm sure some of you will get it. Just to improve my street cred, I'll include a screenshot of a message that Spotify sent me, too! :headbang:
Happy birthday (to both of you!)! Good to "see" you Truck! I haven't been spending much time on the forums but probably will now that the Scrambler is running again!
Come on up to Nationals and catch a ride with someone! Kurt "Rubberhook" is coming with me!
Posting here first! Pretty excited...rolled her out of the garage tonight under her own power! Had to let air out of the tires to clear the garage opening! I think my wife's comments were pretty funny!
Going to get the exhaust tomorrow and take it over to Dustin's to ease her onto a trail...
OK, I just registered! Trying to get there with the Scrambler. It's going to be a close call. I have a 2004 Rubicon I can bring if necessary, but hoping for the scrambler! And I'm bringing along a special guest...Kurt aka "Rubberhook"!! We're both excited to be seeing a bunch of you guys...
Thanks, Eric!! It's been a long time. I didn't realize how much I've missed working on the jeep and keeping up with all you guys until this year. I've been working hard on the jeep lately, and hope to have it running in time for the Nationals!!
Swapping in an LT1 and looking for a good buy on an aluminum radiator.
I have been doing some internet research and have read that the size of the fluid channels, the number of fins per inch, and other factors make a big difference.
Anyway, I'm looking at maybe one from this...
LT1 swap, doing away with the original charcoal canister and pollution stuff.
I have a rollover check valve.
Do I still need a liquid check valve? Mine was worn out and damaged.
I have the 15 gallon tank with the two vent hoses that originally went to the liquid check valve. I was...
Well, finally decided to get back to the build. (I know, I know...:o;)) I'm hoping to be able to make it to the National Scramble in June, but I have A LOT to do before then.
Here's a couple of quick progress pics.
1. Had to fab and weld in some new mounts into the rear of the tub.
