    Clutch Travel and Stiff Pedal

Take a close look at the linkage from the pedal on down. Several pivots with high wear possible. Mine, at 130,000 miles, were worn almost to failure. I installed rod end bearings at all of the pivots and now everything works perfectly. Good luck.

Hello, again. Get me a good address, either text or email, and I'll send the pictures. Later, amigo.

I am in search of a good used body pannel

I've got both sides on my old tub. However, the upper half, where the windshield hinge attaches, is a bit rusty. The recess on the right side is in good shape. I can send pics tomorrow if you need them. Let me know.

    Repli-tub deficiencies

My resto is almost done and I'm proud of the before and after. However, I never planned on taking a year to complete this job. No big deal, it's been a real eye-opener. I'm fortunate to have all of the tools necessary to do the build as well as a background as an aeronautical engineer...

    Repli-tub deficiencies

Yes and no. When I bought my current Scrambler, it was a rust bucket. Most of the rust was hidden by disgusting amounts of bed liner. That being said, the cowl/firewall/A pillar area is in great condition. So, my long-term plan is to completely rebuild the old tub while driving the MD tub...

    Repli-tub deficiencies

Hello, all. I took delivery of my MD tub 11 months ago and, initially, was impressed. However, I am in the final phases of my restoration and wish I had gone a different direction. The firewall was the only piece of the old tub worth keeping. I will, upon completion of my Scrambler, purchase...

Revolution Electronics - Intermittent Wiper module?

I'd be interested in that one, as well. Good luck.

Scrambler Frame Measurements- including measurements for checking square.

Thank you for this blueprint. I'm going to start ordering sheet metal to rebuild a rusted out tub and this will certainly help jig everything up. Again, thanks.

    LED Headlights

I like the looks of this one. Looks like I might get a set of these if QTec will be fair on the return policy. My fear is that, being electrical, there will be no return available. We'll see.

    LED Headlights

I appreciate the feedback from all of you. I'm going to look at the condenser situation again and see if there is a way to either move it down or, potentially, finding a condenser that would fit better. I do like those Hella H4 lamps but with the depth of the heat sink, there will certainly be...

    LED Headlights

So, I would like to add LED headlamps to my Scrambler. However, my situation is unique. This CJ is air conditioned and with the condenser located where it is, there isn't much room for a normal LED lamp. They all have fairly large housings. Any recommendations on a brand or model number of a...

Hello, Kim. I've got a friend in Dallas that recently restored an 85 CJ-7 and would like to purchase an aluminum front frame cover. He's not on any of the Jeep forums but if you have an email address, I will pass it on. Thanks

    Two piece axles

Thanks, sdsupilot, but mine is a widetrack. My goal had been to break down the brakes without removing the axles. Oddly enough, both sides appear to have the same amount of brake dust and are bone dry. I am leaning toward the fitting on the brake line due to the wetness of the brake backing...

    Two piece axles

I'm on the fence about replacing my two piece axles with 1 piece versions. Has anybody had luck with just heating the flange and using a heavy duty puller to get to the axles without using the hydraulic press method. I'm pretty sure my '84 has a wheel cylinder leak and not an axle seal leak...

    Cab replacement glass

Here in OKC, the glass shops I have contacted have the auto glass done in Dallas. Some sort of fabrication issues, from what I've been told. Not a big deal, just added freight and risk. Might just be an excuse to go to Ruth's Chris for dinner. Thanks, guys.

    Cab replacement glass

I thought I had that exact deal worked out with a fellow forum member. Unfortunately, once he had the slider in hand, the proportions didn't match his. I just figured it would be easier to buy a new window, but I will post some pictures and see where this goes. Thank you.

    Cab replacement glass

I'm about halfway through the restoration of my '84 Scrambler and need some tips on a replacement back window. The half cab has a slider but I'm just not thrilled with that window. I've looked at the different suppliers and most have windshields but no cab glass. Any suggestions? Thanks in...

    Body mounts

Thanks, guys. Both documents show the same layout. Unfortunately, 4 out of 12 of the rubber donuts vary in length by 1/4 to 1/2 inch. The steel sleeves are all the same length so I'm assuming this will work. I'll do a test fit tomorrow and see.

    Body mounts

Hello, all. Well, I am preparing to install my new tub and just realized that the body bushing kit for the scrambler has multiple different lengths for the bushings and rubber. Anybody have a diagram giving the locations for the different sized mounts. I can always just feel it out, if...

    Getting Back at it!
