Yea, it's a 4.2. I'm finding it hard to find setups. Seems like a lot of companies have discontinued production. Do you have a rear exit or side?

Looking for a new exhaust, probably catback, but will probably replace the cat as well. Just curious what other people were using/finding. Do you all prefer a side or rear exit for the tailpipe?

The one under the tub is the one I'm looking for. Thanks for that link. I figured one of the major jeep suppliers would have it but I didnt know the actual name of the bracket.

I'll take a picture when I get home later. Just the mount for the rollbar that has the square nuts welded to it. I know some people refer to the bar as a sport cage vs roll bar.

I started ripping apart the interior to prep and repaint for rust control. I found out one of the forward sport cage mounts was rusted through. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement for this or do I have to scavenge old cjs?

Thanks! Finally found the right angle to put the slide bar back in. Super easy once you figure that out! One of the new calipers still seems slightly seized, so might buy a new block install that as well.

So, embarrassingly enough I have no idea how the '81 calipers remount. I've never seen the set up before and can't find much i go on them. I bought new calipers and pads, but I can't get the bottom slide piece to bang back in. It gets about halfway across the mounting bracket and then starts...

Was driving my 81 around the other day and started to notice some brake drag. Pinpointed it down to the two front disc brakes. I took the calipers off and was able to compress the piston once with a clamp and then after that couldn't. I replaced the mc last summer with a remanufactured one...

Adding grounds has defiantly bumped up to the top of my list.

I've been having the same problem with my setup. It'll start up fine and run for a bit then just cut out and won't restart for the next half hour. Its still spraying fuel when I turn the key but no start. Where abouts is the tach filter?
