If the engine a V8, then a side exhaust would tend to loader. I've been running my current exhaust setup for nearly 20 years and it isn't too load... unless I'm just deaf in my left ear...:)
Is the engine a 4.2L? If so, you may want to try Borla for headers (assuming they still make them). I'm running Borla headers, high flow CAT (don't remember the mfg) and a Flowmaster muffler on my 4.2L.
Since the chances that I'll have a buyer for the engine prior to it being removed is slim. I took a video of the engine running and the dash showing the gauges.
After poking around on the internet, I've seen the 4.2L go for as little as $500 to $1500. Most of them weren't complete engines...
Hi everyone,
It's been awhile since I've posted. Anyway, I'm planning on a LS swap in my Scrambler and I'll be selling my 4.2L engine. The vehicle has just under 179,000 miles. The engine was rebuilt at 155,000 or so. It is equipped with Howell TBI fuel injection, HEI distributor and Borla...
I finally got around to installing a bed liner (Monstraliner) to my Scrambler. What a messy process, but I'm very happy with the results. I used their color match "Coppa Feel" which is very close to my Scrambler's color of Copper Brown Metallic.
I just got this wall hanging made by a local artist in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
It is 17" H x 24" L. Made from 16 gauge steel.
They sell for $125.00 + shipping.
The artist is Joe. He can be reached at robidouj@hotmail.com. He will make minor customization (e.g. year, etc).
