I see Warrior Products offers square profile CJ8 lenght nerf bars- is anyone running these and if so do you have any pictures and thoughts on them?
I would love to have some CJ8 length round nerf bars, as the CJ7 length just look odd to me even when centered, and my 5'-6" shorty self needs...
I see that Omix Aida offers a couple of different "OEM" spring options for the CJ8 including 6 leaf front, 6 leaf rear, 8 leaf front, 8 leaf rear, etc...
What was the stock spring setup front and rear? 6 leaves? Were the 8 leaves for one of the higher option levels?

Just curious if anyone is running low back seats?
Being that my CJ8 is a military theme project, low back seats and lap belts seem to fit the look the best. Not to mention I find the OEM highbacks not terribly comfortable (and 30+ year old foam doesn't help that)
I have heard that low backs...
I just dropped the Willys Overland tweaked MD Jaun tub on my 4.0 inline 6 equipped 85 Scrambler, and the fit between the firewall and theflange of the valve cover is really snug - like only about 3/16" of an inch of clearance.
The tub is as far back as it can go (the flange on the tub is up...
I have my tub off right now, and the gas tank is completely removed along with all the hangar/support components. Everything works fine, no rust, sender works fine and fuel gauge works fine.
If you were where I was, would you feel it worth the time and extra cost to install a 20 gallon tank...
Does anyone have the bolt thread pitch and lengths and a diagram of locations for the cj8 body to frame mounting bolts?
Mine were all rotted out and had to be plasma cut on the old tub.
I am referring to these: (or the ones with the integral steps)

I like the square tube look- I could probably fab some up myself, but this would save some time on the project if I can get them ready to go.
Just...
Crazy idea, but has anyone ever modified a CJ7 soft top to work as a CJ8 half soft top?
I have a source for quite a few old soft tops from a local guy, and it looks like I might be able to score an old CJ7 soft top. I also have a good buddy who can do industrial grade sewing (he manufactures...
Picked up this girl about a month ago, was Danimal731's old ride with one owner in between us.
Afrtrer talking to Danimal we were pretty much able to piece the whole life of this Scrambler back together- originally sold by the "Little Jess Motor Company" in Hannibal Missouri to someone who...
I know that shocks and springs can be very subjective, but that being considered, what is your preference for springs and shocks to get a 2.5" lift? Driving would be roughly 80% road, 20% offroad, and just looking at options to stay with the CJ springs for the moment, although I have...
My father-in-law and I are working on restoring the CJ8 I recently bought - the tub could be repaired, but it would take someone with welding skills and plenty of time (of which we have the first but not the second).
We have not been able to locate a decent tub yet, so are looking at the...
Anyone have good recommendations for side steps or nerf bars for the CJ8?
I see that you can use the typical 3" tube nerf bars from a CJ7, but of course they are a bit short due to the extra frame length of of CJ8. I also don't like the idea of drilling the frame.
I was wondering if anyone...
Anyone have a a source for or fab up the roll bar gussets that go on the inside and outside of the rear floor riser?
The exterior ones are rotted out pretty bad, and even the replacement ones that the owner included have quite a bit of rot.
If no one has a source, I do have the ability to have...
Howdy all,
Just picked up this pretty good condition 1985 CJ8 Scrambler for my shop truck. from a guy about an hour from me. Minimal rot (needs a drivers side floorpan patch under the clutch), a little bit of surface rust, but otherwise solid and with a hard top and fully rhino lined bed to...
