A mild cam and TBSS intake peps it up a little more if you feel the need I always go for the 4.8 because they are typically a little cheaper. Current build is an aluminum block L33 5.3, but that was dumb luck.

Hey Randy, what filler neck did you go with? I was thinking about modifying the stock one to accept the larger hose, but a new unit might work better. thanks!

Fit great with plenty of clearance.
turned out to be a splined bolt...who knew of such a thing? hole wasn't threaded and the splines just dug in to the aluminum. pressed it out with a ball joint c-clamp. probably tap it and thread a bolt in at reassembly .
Anyone know if these bolts thread out or are they hammered out from the bottom? The tab makes me think they hammer out from the bottom but I gave them a couple of hits and they didn't budge. Then put a socket on the bolt head and got no joy. Since this back piece is aluminum I didn't want to...
