I don't know, but I went down a rabbit hole tonight. There are 28 listed VIN’s, or 12 percent of the total built. They range from 19628-19838. If the VIN’s are sequential (my guess is they are), that range covers 210 vehicles! That is very close to the 230. I cannot find a 1984 with a VIN in...
Isn't the A-Team Performance an 8" booster? Still a nice setup.
Same amount of room for a hydraulic clutch master cylinder on the YJ bracket as the CJ bracket. A lot more YJ's had factory hydraulic clutches over CJ's.
Focus on the master not the wheels. The calipers can only do with the volume and pressure the master gives them. Here is the list of parts that I've used:
YJ bracket booster bracket
1988 S10 9" dual diaphragm brake booster
1980 FSJ 1-1/8" master cylinder (with disc/drum)
PRE7486 -...
Several years ago I could not get a windshield seal that would actual NOT leak. Someone recommended swapping to a YJ windshield because the YJ windshield is glued in. I've been running a CJ motor (with the YJ arm) on a YJ linkage, in a YJ windshield frame, for more than a decade without that...
Most hydroboost units can be clocked to any angle. Mounting it upside down will put the nitrogen accumulator completely out of the way.
Crockodotsky, I put a 2003 Chevy 2500 setup on the 258 in my J10. I used the Chevy pump (with the Jeep V-belt pulley), hydroboost unit, and all the stock...
I've never looked it up with a 30, but I'm assuming that it is the same as the larger axles. There is a Bill of Materials (BOM) stamped in the axle tube on the larger Dana axles that says what it was originally build as.
To get the best answer you should tell us what size tire and how much lift? There is more than one way to skin a cat and your personal info is what makes on way better or worse.
Jeeper_4_Life is right that you will be happier with a flat/parallel set up. However on my current build I'm...
I would vote to send the 4.7L down the road, but I wouldn't send it to my daughter. You may want to look into the rocker arm issue that these motors have. I have 01 that I do enjoy but seems to sit more than I drive because of it. You probably have awhile, I'm in the 180k's.
It is a perfect fit between the front seats. AMC used CJ bucket seats in FSJ's too. Not my picture. but you can see the setup:
I will have to make brackets as it sits lower in the FSJ. Not my picture either but you can see the bracket:
The jump seat I got needs reupholstered...
In the prior thread I asked about YJ sliders. You have to drill new holes, but you can bolt them to your CJ bracket. My driver's bracket is a flip bracket.
I don't think lengthening would be worth it. Think about if you cut a piece of wood to small, you would just get a new piece of wood, you wouldn't try to nail a piece on to get to the right length. So to lengthen the rear, you would remove the tubes from the differential (center section) and...
Did you run a full tank of gas through in the 3 weeks it was running? You know it is fuel related because it runs on the carb cleaner. Have you tried running a hose from your fuel pump to a separate gas can? If that doesn't work move up the line. Try to gravity feed the carb.
If it runs...
