I’m currently trying to find and install the best method to fasten the half hard-top on.

Also wondering if FlexSeal paint for the top would be a good choice?

Please advise.

The factory method with bolts in the back and screws at the windshield works good. People have also gotten latches from mcmaster carr and used with success and makes for am easier, too less removal. Sorry, I do not have a part #.
I would advise against flexseal. If you want to freshen it up, good spray paint would be a better choice. Surface prep is as important , or more, as the finish you choose.
I am sure people who have done both will chime in soon.
