Living in PA where there is a lot of rust. I have owned a lot of Jeeps over the years. Have an 81 Scrambler for the past 10 years. Had 2 others. As far as CJ's go, had over 10 of them. Sold my last CJ5 about 10 years ago. Sold my last CJ7 about 12 years ago. Every time I see a nice Jeep, its usually a CJ5. While checking Pirate 4x4 I found what looked to be a nice CJ7 at a fair price in Arizona. So I decided to buy it.
1983 CJ7, 1 owner. Bought new in California, currently living in Arizona. Owner was now older and not driving it much. Wants a Jeep with AC. He did some mods through out its life.
Body and Frame with NO rust. Underneath still looks new. Body mounts look like new yet. It was originally a green Renegade, repainted white.
Rebuilt AMC 360, T176, Dana 300 with 4:1 and HD output, Tom Woods Shafts, Curried HP 9in with ARB, discs, 4:10 gears, Dana 30 Detroit tru trac, moly shafts, 4:10, on board air, SS lines, HD tie rods, front shackle reversal.
Body has GEN Right front fenders, and metal rear fenders. Inside has a front partial cage tied into rollbar, Bestop buckets
Big Old Warn 10,000 winch
Lift is Skyjacker 4 inch, small shackle lift
35 Goodyear MTR's on old school rims
Paint is chipped on grill and hood.
Going to re paint the Jeep, add some graphics, POR 15 everything underneath and drive it for fun.
Jeep was shipped with a truck load of TESLA's

Jeep is currently at my friends house getting painted. I took the rock rails off and they just got sprayed with Rhino Lining. I took out the dash pad and repainted it blue. Graphics are in along with a new AMC Jeep emblem, and CJ7 emblem.
The white paint seems really bright. I'm going to put some black on the front end to so it dosent look so plain.

I might have the Jeep back by Sunday. I can post some pictures then. Didn't really take any when I got it, which was in the beginning of December. It drives really nice.

Back from paint. I put the lined rock sliders on, painted front and rear bumpers, and tire carrier. 5410599E-95DB-49E1-8B0C-0589883B9D2E.jpeg3AD4C382-A8C4-4B8D-8B86-F4103425F4CE.jpegBF8E77FE-D64C-47DF-B86E-6949B933ABBD.jpeg6E6ED0F9-592C-4877-BF11-1C272AF97229.jpeg

Never have seen the grab bars like that on the back and sides. Almost like a bunch of guys were going to pick it up out of a huge mud hole..

Going to Florida for a week. When I get back I will be getting the decals on the hood and a Flowmaster exhaust. Doing something with rims by end of April

Great work, I am hoping to do something similar with a cj8 soon. I won't repaint right away, just touch up what I can and drive for a while to see what I like/don't. But I do want to do the POR15 on the underside. How did you do yours? How did you clean it before you painted ? Did you spray it on or brush it on?
