Raymond did a fantastic job on this Jeep!
I still have to put Laredo decals, seats, etc. finish a few things then probably sell it. So maybe like 3 years 🤣

Took it out for a few laps today. Starts and runs perfect thanks to its stay at the Redneck Riviera Rehab Center. Haven’t had the time to do anything to it since bringing it home. It actually resides at the house until I can make room at the shop.
I’m on the fence about adding one of my sets of World Cab top and doors. I like driving topless and the World cab would kill that. I think it would look sweet though. Especially with the SE 8274 brushguard kit that I originally planned on installing.

It would be nice looking, but I'm right there with you riding topless. Unless you have a serious ac unit it's going to be a sweat box down here. Looks great just like it is to me.

Thanks! I'll try and find a way to possibly run a/c in the back. I also have a set of troop seats so may remove the roll bar and run them as well. Laredo decals back on the body and something matching on the World Cab Top. It would be sweet looking.

I think it's beautiful just as it sits! But then I spent much of my life in Australia and in not a big fan of the world cab. Aussies loved the American Scramblers because we weren't allowed to remove the tops from the Overlanders. I guess we always want what we don't have.

Now that is pretty crazy you weren't allowed to remove the tops. But then again I have seen a couple of crazy things come out of there in the last decade or so.

You can't take the top or doors off because the vehicle wasn't approved to be used on the road without top or doors. If you bought a soft top you were allowed to remove the top but you still couldn't drive with the doors off.

Same was true of the land cruiser when it came with a hard top versus soft top. I think this is one of the reasons that the land cruiser troop Carrier far outsold the overlander because it was offered with a soft top. If you were going to use it in the Bush that meant that you could take the roof off.

Vehicles are only allowed on the road in the way in which they were approved. But then again The Australian regulations wouldn't allow driving without doors so that couldn't have been approved.

Mind you, it is also illegal to drive with your arm on the window because your elbow is protruding the vehicle. These are some of the many reasons I prefer living here to living in Australia.

Yea I was just watching one of your ex country men who is now a citizen here talking about the 6th lock down now there. No 1st or 2nd amendment there which most of knows what that means.

We have no bill of rights whatsoever in Australia. They are shooting water canons at folks for protesting the lockdowns... and nothing says they can't.

It is shameful but anyone paying attending could see this coming years ago when we started installing facial recognition cameras all over the place for 'safety'.

America is the last country to go socialist, not the first. I just hope we can stave it off a bit longer.

And that's why I love living here (and maybe why I don't care for the world cab). I'll be quiet now.

I like, but would only use a world cab if I was Overlanding in Grizzly neighborhoods.

Fuel and temp gauges were not working so I replaced them with working NOS gauges.

The NOS gauges still don’t work so I ordered a temp and fuel sending unit to replace what’s in it now.

The old gauges may have worked so I’ll test them before they go to recycle. 1942D58E-52E1-4F4E-BD01-36D57D66EEF6.jpeg
