4.2L Carburetor suggestions

Hi, looking to upgrade the stock carburetor on my 4.2L and wanted so see what guys had the most success with. Weber seems to be a good product but haven’t researched many others. The Jeep will be used light off-road, mostly on road around the east coast so no real changes in elevation. What other upgrades would also be suggested with the carburetor. I am looking for the best bang for the buck to get it driving reliably until I can save up and decide if I want to do an LS conversion next winter. Thank you 🙏

I am very pleased with my Rochester Dualjet 210 (I believe) . Starts instantly on fast idle then kick it off when ready.

I just replaced my worn out MC2150 with one of those $80 amazon MC2150 replacements.
I'm on week three of driving with it (I daily my Scrambler) and so far my only complaint is that the hardware they use is very cheap, I've already started stripping the head of one of the screws on the choke spring cap.

Other than that though, it's been great. I pulled it out of the box, put my throttle linkage stuff on it, plopped it on the 258, cranked the Jeep and adjusted the high and low speed idle and that's it.
I started fine tuning the choke last week after driving on it for a week and a half.

Wish I had pulled the trigger sooner rather than continuing to fiddle with my old worn out carb.

Edit to say, if you go this route make sure you get the 1.08 venturi size. The others are too large.

I run the MC2150 as well. Bought it from Gronk on eBay. Came with the adapter plate and pretty decent instructions. I’ve been very happy with it for about 4 years.

That’s who I ordered my first one from as well. I don’t think his eBay business is active anymore.

Glad you mentioned it though because I completely forgot about the adapter in my first post!

Thanks guys I’ll look into the MC2150 and the Dualijet. The EFI is more then I’m looking to spend right now as I’m deciding on what to do with the engine next year. If I decide to stay with the 4.2 I will definitely go that route, but I might do an 8 swap instead. Just want to get her on the road and running well this spring.

What Venturi size did you purchase? I reached out to Gronk thru his email but guys are saying that he’s out of the business.

Here's a pic of my adapter if that helps:

I'll get a pic of the little adapter you have to make to use the OE throttle linkage on the 2150. It's nothing but a piece of metal and some #8 (I think) screws from your favorite hardware store, plus a ball end for the linkage to connect to.

Thank you, I found the adapter above online. Going to order the carburetor tonight. Might have to pick your brain about the other adapter and the installation.

Here's the little bracket I made. It bolts directly to the 2150, you just have to grind off the ball stud that's on the carb from the factory.

This has worked flawless for me for 7, 8 years or so.
