Andrew Schalk has an Postal and has the World Cab and doors that were sourced from the Postal that is now the blue surf-themed example without a top/doors that is currently for sale in Florida. He bought that Jeep to get the top/doors for this Postal that they got without the top and doors. When he moved the top/doors over, the donor Jeep was in very rough shape. The current seller did a lot of work to get it back in the condition it's in currently.

Found him on a FB group.

I had seen one in town while I was out mountain biking, looked like a postal employee. I will try to stop by, make an offer and if denied get the info on it to put on here.

It had a full cab on it

I still have both of my postals with their tops and doors here in Kansas. The location of mine need to be changed to KS, not TX; lines 32 and 33!

Apologies for being late to the party, I started my own business this year which has taken most my time along with my 3 year old!

I've owned 5 Postals and have sold 2 (Michigan and the other in Idaho). Against my wife's wishes I still own 3 with one getting a full restoration soon to be completed.

I read the comments and see you've found the one in AK off Karluk. I've been trying to get in contact with the owner for the past 3 years with no luck. I know of 2 others in Kenia, 2 in North Pole and another in Fairbanks I'm keeping tabs on. They all are intact just rusting away......

Don't worry, I'll post the postal restoration details when it's complete! It's a Jeep thing, my wife doesn't understand!!!!!!!

Hey, great to see you back! Can you tell me more specifically what I need to update, move or add to the list relative to the ones you have or have sold and whatever their condition/equipment was?

For example, I assume that 22 and 23 were your sales? Are those the two that sold to MI and ID? If so, do I have them attributed elsewhere is actually one of those? Did you sell the one to Scr8 here in MI maybe? I have that one on here separately and would need to reconcile those.

Do I not have your other three accounted for? Do they have tops/doors?

Thanks for checking in!

My list is updated.
Sorry, but can you tell me just the changes/updates in a new post? My eyes are going crossed trying to compare what you have to what I put in the main list because I am trying to work the formatting of the entries to be somewhat consistent.

21. Badco's #2, from AK-RWC: It runs, and has a title."
30. From AK-RWC: Dave Frank has one that is complete and very built. In Fairbanks.
31. From AK-RWC: Dave Frank has a second that is being built, but low on the priority list. In Fairbanks.
39. From AK-RWC: Dakota Wills has one in Anchorage. No transmission, but being fixed. Purchased on CL last year from Chris, who was selling 7.
40. From AK-RWC: Travis Hoogland has one. Purchased on CL last year from Chris, who was selling 7.
41. From AK-RWC: Lenard Gardiner has one. Purchased on CL last year from Chris, who was selling 7. Lenard pulled the t-case and axles for his Scrambler, and is using the rest for storage. It is painted blue.
42. From AK-RWC: Lenard Gardiner saw one at the junkyard off of Vine Road in Wasilla last summer. He took the crossmember.
43. From AK-RWC: Dunehammer has a second, doesn't run. Someone started but didn't complete a SBC 400 conversion.
44. From AK-RWC: Dave Frank has a third, that is also being built, but is low on the priority list. In Fairbanks.

Exist, without the top:
6. (delete)
8. Edit to add: Badco, who works at the Port of Anchorage, believes this was shipped out of Alaska last year, but AK-RWC swears he saw it driving down 5th Avenue this summer. Badco is checking a photo from to confirm it was the same postal.
9. Edit as you see fit based on what I'm going to tell you in (A), below.
11. From AK-RWC: Peter Firmin has another one in pieces; no top and doors. It is likely to get crushed, but he has the title.
12. From AK-RWC: One was listed for sale within the last 30 days in Wasilla. It had a cut top, was rattle-canned black, and had a plow. AK-RWC knows someone who looked at it and took additional photos. It was not in good shape.

Alaskan Postals we know are gone:
1. Edit to reflect that although Travis Voetmann actually hauled it off, it was Peter Firmin's Jeep.
5. From AK-RWC: Per Dakota Wills, Chris, who had 7 on CL last year, kept/sold a top and scrapped the rest.
6. From AK-RWC: Per Dakota Wills, Chris, who had 7 on CL last year, kept/sold a second top and scrapped the rest.

Alaska Postals we need to track down:
A) Edit however you see fit, but per Dakota Wills, Chris actually started with 7 postals. Dakota bought one, Travis Hoogland bought one, and Lenard Gardiner claims he bought one (blue) as well. Dakota got his in exchange for helping Chris work on the others, and has personal knowledge. Dakota said the one with the cut top was shipped to Minnesota, and a blue one was shipped to Canada. Chris removed two other tops and kept/sold them, and scrapped the rest of those two.
H) Delete. These five are accounted for.
K) From AK-RWC: Lenard Gardiner took one with him from Alaska to Mountain Home, ID, when he PCS'd there in 2003 or 2004. It still had the top, and had windows cut in the back "like an Overland."
L) From AK-RWC: Within the last 10 years, there was a very specific postal up for sale on CL in Anchorage. It was built into an Alaskan moose buggy in that it was sitting on a 1-ton (likely GM) frame. The rear fenders had been removed and filled in for additional interior space, it was converted to LHD, and the front end was modified for lights. It was painted green. The rear portion of the frame behind the barn-door had a platform.
M) From AK-RWC: I specifically remember seeing a postal that had Scout II hard-top windows installed into the top. It looked incredibly awkward due to the shape of those windows.

And to add my two VINs:
Parts postal is 1JCCE88F4ET019628
Running postal is 1JCCE88FXET019780

Dunehammer's two postal VINS:
Got the Vins 1JCCE88FXET019715 and 1JCCE88F3ET019720. Second one is titled first one is not.

His comments on his from his thread: http://www.cj-8.com/forum/showthread.php?47175-1984-Alaska-Postal

The postal project got hijacked when I got my hands on an 1982 scrambler out of Texas and it’s been claiming most of my time and funds. The postal sadly has been striped for the most part and is a rolling chassie I also picked up a second postal that someone had started swapping a Chevy drivetram into that is a sbc 400 turbo 350 and a 205. They never finished it leaving the engine on hard mounts and no drive lines or ignition system down side no title on it.

I think I do not have the second one accounted for yet on the main list. need to figure that out.

JerseyJeeps/Eric has a second, cut up Postal that's just the top/firewall/VINs/title

"It was a cut up top, firewall section, both vins. So it would be a "parted one" although I have everything technically to recreate it.
It is very close in vin to the other one I recall as well. So it does mean it's accounted for."
