All set up and Dan Grec made sweet burgers for dinner. Drive was easy and dry, which is always nice.

Why are tollbooths all on the wrong side??

I was there selling parts and being somewhat social for 3 days Thursday to tonight and a big highlight of this years Bantam was seeing Big Walton and ride back with him from the invasion Friday night in his postal. I've known it for many years and seen it countless times in person , but never got to ride in it, I don't recall. Especially to go anywhere. It's so roadworthy and mannered for these trips he does and the 4.0 just rips along. What a great jeep!!

My setup at the swap meet portion of the place , and BigWalton was just 80 yards or so down the hill from us.

I kind of was there. I was headed to work the offsite trails Friday morning when the rear seal on my tcase popped out and caused some issues. Had to borrow a tow rig and trailer to get it home last night. Went back with the wife's Traihawk today to help until trails were shut down. Ruts were so deep even guys with 37s were dragging pumpkins. Trails are shut down completely for tomorrow. Is it bad that I was almost glad to be broke down?

We spent an hour waiting to get in, queue all the way back to I79. The result being that we had little time to look around or try to find people due to other comittments. If i can convince the boss to go next year it will be on Friday

Great time even if I was stuck in the vendor are at the Overland Demo Area all weekend. I did walk some of the show and did a loop of the MASSIVE campground last night. I had no idea the campground was that insane.

I have to say that the amount of color changing halos, light bars, and other total garbage was utterly soul crushing. The “Festival of Lights” lighting contest was horrifying, we had to go look because it was like a train wreck.

I did like the variety of Jeeps. Pretty sure I saw at least one of every kind of Jeep (including Libertys, a Commando, many compasses and renegades) and all kinds of older Jeeps.

Camping and hanging out with Dan Grec was great, also had Dean Shirley from East Coast Overland with us and we’re like brothers from another mother.

Yeah, heard about the delays getting in. The grounds are great but there’s really only two side roads to use to get there and it’s bound to be a mess. Sorry you got caught up in it.
