brake pedal height

My brake pedal sits significantly higher than my clutch pedal. I'm guessing the scrambler had manual brakes at birth and someone converted it to power brakes but didn't do the pedal assembly along with it. Any suggestions? The pushrod linkage has adjustment, but is tightened all the way down and the pedal is still really high. I could try to saw off the end of the pushrod and get more out of it, just not sure if that's the best option. the booster is new-ish, so does anyone know where to get a pedal to booster pushrod that is shorter

I have the same issue.

I thought about a shorter pushrod but decided against it because I didn't like the idea of the pedal not resting on the mechanical stop when it was at rest. I figured that I would run it the way it is for now and deal with it later (I have yet to drive my Jeep) if it was an issue for me.

I'm curious.... are you driving your Jeep? If so, does the way it operates bother you?

Edit: Although... now looking at pics and don't see the mechanical stop I thought was there. Just the contact with the brake light switch - which seems like it could be modified to work with a shorter pushrod fairly easily.

I have not tried running it yet. I installed everything but when I found the pedal issue I stopped and started trying to fix the issue. I cut down the push rod and the rod from the booster which did make it better, but not where i wanted it. They kit I got was from Southwest Performance and is a very nice set up but the two stage booster was hitting my carb so I tried using with the old mount which made it fit but cutting down the items I couldnt get enough. Soooo I bought another kit with a single stage booster and used the mount that came with it and it fits well but the pedal is better but still to high (i could drive it now I think). The MC from south west is better than the second kit so I using it and the proportion valve. I am looking into getting a shorter push rod made and I really think i will have it licked. And the mechanical stop / brake light switch I found out about the hard way.... The pedal came all the way back and pushed the switch out and my brakes lights were for on a day and half killing the battery. Oh, bye the way I am getting pretty good at installing them! I read in another thread about the switch being a pain and laughed at some of the responses, now I see what a pain that it really is. LOL I do have a Booster, Bracket and MC I don't know what to do with now...

Laying on my back working on the brake switch is when I first realized I need reading glasses. I couldn't figure out why I could see what the heck I was doing.
