Today is the day it starts! Dustin will be getting my 8 today to bring to his shop.

Year: 1985 1 owner

Model: Renegade

Final/current tire size: 33" MT (brand TBD)

Build details:
Body off
Motor out, rehabbed & Sniper Fuel injection installed
Assess frame. New body mounts & 1" body lift
New 4.5" lift
New exhaust
Install TF999 auto transmission

& LOTS of little stuff

This will primarily be a mechanical rebuild. IT won't look pretty but we're aiming for functionality & durability 1st.
2nd wave, prolly next year, will add AC & the possibility of a new tub, paint & rollcage installation.
The anxiety & anticipation leading up to this has been incredible. Especially knowing IT will be in good hands, no pressure Dustin ;)
I CAN'T WAIT TO DRIVE IT AGAIN!!!!! :)

Pic 1 is as it sits now, many more to come!

Hard top is in the background.
Stripped this stuff off before it went for a ride to Dustin's.
Going to start refurbishing the 4 doors.
New door hardware ordered yesterday.
Edit: driver's window hasn't been able to go down in more than 20 years..
Either door was off or heat was on 🤣
That fix will be a nice detail...

I hear ya. Any chance of getting CJ fenders back on at least. 😃
Not in the plans, except to paint them to match.
Why, you don't like em the way they are? :ROFLMAO:
Mine is def not stock original, lots of subtle upgrades. I do admire the hell out of stock cjs, though(y)
