yes It does look that way,....
even I was fooled, because
I bought at a glance on ebay,...
thinking it was for an FSJ, wrong,.....
I need one for a j10 I have restored
but this is WAY TOO SHORT,.....
by almost 2 feet, definately for either a jeep or a scrambler
just don't know wich,.....recent comments from other guys
suggested it may be for a scrambler,... CJ8.
thanx for the in put,.....

FSJ stepside? That’s my bet.

Just out of curiosity I went online and did a search, and found a dealer with one supposedly in stock for a very attractive price. I’m about to buy it just to have some trading wampum. If only they would answer their phone- busy, busy, busy. 🤔

I can go with the FSJ stepside noted above and also maybe a 76-77 CJ bumper.

That ridge is definitely indicative of a J-truck bumper.

I find it interesting that there aren't any holes to install a license plate.
Would this indicate the plate is installed on a body mounted bracket ?
That's all I have to offer. :)

It’s an earlier CJ bumper. Like 76ish or so I think. I bought one also as wall art

makes sense jeep addict

I think you have nailed it,.....

especially since I bought it because it looked just like a 1976 j10 bumper I have already
(that is not straight enuff to use on my restored honcho)

the seller was not sure what they had

it was listed as for a honcho, so I jumped on it like a hot biscuit
only to open box with disappointment

thanx for identifying the bumper

Yes and the tell tale is the bumper
ends A3C5B80B-0ABE-4AB6-9D57-38EB61EE919F.jpeg are shorter than J truck. And of course the width for non Sportside.. But since Sportside width is same as CJ8, My 78 for comparison. Dave In NC is this Mr CJs?

I tried several times today to contact the dealer that showed one in stock. Nothing but busy signals.

THANX for the photos
the 76 jeep brochure shows all jeeps with no rear bumper. I guess since it was an ad-on option.
I had never seen one before. I don't think they sold many of the bumpers.
a member on this forum is scheduled to get this one tomorrow.
they are heavy !

I went an bought this bumper for a Scrambler build. I decided not to use as I can not fit my scrambler end caps. I am happy to sell it to anyone needing this bumper for a project
