I am replacing my gas tank on my '81 CJ8 and all the lines associated with it. At the driver rear inner panel I came across some devices that are related to fuel vapor management I think. I broke the nipple off one of the units and am trying to replace but I do not know what it is called, or where to get one for that matter.

Item is the small one with the yellow arrow. This is not a pic from my jeep but a similar setup.

OK, now where to get. Local Jeep Dealership all but laughed when I asked about an '81 part.

I tried the Williy's guy and he is out and does not expect new ones. Surely there is a similar item from other vehicles?
 
I did the same thing. I got a thread in barb, drilled, threaded and epoxied it in. It works great. I got it free as a sample but had to pay shipping. You can try home depot. I used the part in nylon becasue you can glue it and it stands up to fuel.

I don't remember exactly, so look at the thread and barb size based on your fuel line.
