Red Wing Boots - Hertitage collection

Red wings is having 20% off this Friday. They rarely ever have sales and I think you have to have a "red wing" store for it to work. My store gave me conflicting information....That it was in stock items only; and that they would figure out how to make a special order work....

They aren't cheap; but you get what you pay for. Goodyear welts; full grain leather; resole-able; should last forever.





Not sure if I will pull the trigger. I have one other pair of red-wings; they are 12 years old and look like most shoes do at 2.

I have heard good things about Red Wings. Never paid that much for shoes though. Glad to hear from you that they last. I tend to go through cheap shoes and never wanted to spend that much and then do yard/car work in them.

I have worn Red Wing most of my working life. Tried a few others always went back to Red Wing. Still have a pair of steel toes in the closet if I need them (been called back to work at various times to help out) and I have a pair of non steel toes I wear when working in the shop, got tired of slag burning my toes through sneakers.

Yeah.....the price point is hard for me to stomach too. I'm tired of expensive disposable shoes. If you search "USA" on zappos it will do the work finding them. Anything with a real sole begins a > $200.

I own a couple pair of Keens. Really like them, but not quite dressy enough for work.
