My fix for half top stripped bulkhead fasteners

I had two fastening points on my half-top stripped out. Installed Plus-Nuts in all four locations and fastened the top down with 5\16 fender bolts. I used a 3\4" spade bit to open the fiberglass then drilled out the steel plate to 31\64" Installed by making my own install tool.

That looks like a pretty heavy-duty riv-nut. I tried some that were not quite so stout, and they didn't grab very well.

In the end, I just drilled 1" holes above the mounting points, so I could use nuts and bolts. I covered the holes with body plugs.
