You forgot the white spokes with chrome center caps from 81-86! I prefer those over the turbine. The chrome wagons are definitely my favorite too.

you beat me to the white waggies... love the slots!

I think it has a lot to do with what you grew up with and what you saw and first fell in love with.
This is why I love the Brown CJ's First one I ever saw that was jacked up... love that style and still have plans to build a Golden Eagle one day in that color.
funny though.. at 7 years old or whatever I was when I saw it, I thought 30 inch tires were SO BIG... little did I know what would come in the decades to follow!!!

Number 1 is a ridiculous entry. This is a scrambler site. Even so, make it for CJs 1976 and later, fine. Even more broad, say all of the 70s through 1986 to make it a little relevant So if you will, in that case number 1 is not an oem offering. Not gonna comment on some of the other ridiculousness.

Turbines were OEM, just look at this pic straight from the dealer lot. (That previous statement was all sarcasm)

Those jeeps were modified at the dealer to sell better. Those are not oem rims. So I assume your post was sarcasm and not mine ;)

Nope, not OEM wheels. I think AR made them back then, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Probably popular due to dealers were setting up CJs that way per the pic I posted. Oh and also Dukes of Hazard.

In addition to the chrome wagon wheels, I like the painted wagon wheels with the chrome center caps and the trim rings. I think they were standard on the Limited Edition CJs. They would be nice for a highway cruser.

I agree, and those will be my Number 5 replacement for the non-OEM turbine wheels. Another appearance I like is the chrome hub caps with the colorful logo in the center -these may have been a Kaiser Jeep offering of the 60's.

NOT OEM but Western Hills Jeep used Jackman steel spoked 15x10 and 15X12 wheels on their Dealer Off Road Package. It included Runk bumpers, Runk side (fender, lower rocker and rear quarter) Rub Rails and full Runk roll cage. To dress it up you could upgrade to 15x10, 15x12 or 15X16 Anson aluminum slots, which are still my favorite.

You have any photos of these complete dealer-optioned Jeeps, or of the Anson slots?

I'll dig some photos up. I still run the Jackman steel slots on "MrBeep" every so often. I may still have a set of the Ansons in the shop, I've sold a couple of those sets the past couple of years and one set was in the parts that were stolen last year.
