Running Rough Inline 6

Hello:
Just started yesterday as I was driving home.
All of a sudden the motor felt like it was not getting enough fuel – or there was a bad plug or wire.

I have cleaned the 2 barrel Webber Carb, Pulled the spark plugs and the spark plugs are clean, and the plug wires look great and secure. I have good fuel flow from the fuel filter to the carb.

She is still running rough.. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bad gas?

Could be bad gas, crud at the bottom of the tank. How did you test the flow of fuel? Swap the filter to be sure. I had an impala that would start and idle fine but under load the filter would not let enough gas through.

That was my thought too. Cut the old filter and have a squizz at it. I'd guess crud and water.

Check the inside of the dist cap for tracks and dirt

Still my guess is gas - did you fill up just before it started?

I have an HEI in my CJ5 and my Jeep was acting the same way. I too thought it was fuel related and tried a bunch of fixes. Finally looked into the distributor and my ICM was failing. Replaced that and my issues went away.
