Tough to say just from pictures. Depends if it is from a "rust free" area or if it is from a "salted road" area and it has bondo and a fresh paint job. If it had a pair of pro rock 60's and an atlas, yeah, its worth the $8500 in those parts alone. Really need more info than just a few pictures.

2nd barrys statement. I would not shy away from the 4cyl if you intend to build it a bit. They already have 4.10 gears and swapping to a 258/4.0L is pretty straight forward.

Pretty sure 4 cyl autos were standard 4.10's.
I had an 86 4cyl 4 speed parts Jeep CJ7 that had 3.54s (rear 44, still have the axles)

I have personally never seen a 4cyl with anything other than 4.10 gears or a hooker with a heart of gold. One of those observations has been proven wrong. Now, I must seek out the other one.
