Should I get a special "off-road" muffler...?

I need a new exhaust. I'm not too concerned with :

- Trying to increase the engine's performance
- The sound (I prefer LESS noise!)

I AM concerned with

- CLEARANCE (my previous muffler was bulky, ended up rotating and hanging down lower than x-member/T-case skid plate!

Other than that, is there anything special I should be looking for? Or should I just let the muffler shop put on whatever basic muffler they would normally use?

What is an "off-road" muffler anyway?

I have seen an "off road" muffler before. It was made with diamond plate. No idea brand or anything.

I like the Flowmaster mufflers. Most are available in 304 Stainless and are super durable. They have a wide range as far as to how obnoxious they get the 60 series and up are fairly quiet.
