With the Scrambler in pieces all over the garage, I am getting ready to rebuild my t-176 when I find an AX-15 for sale. It would be nice to have a 5 speed since one of the upgrades that I am doing now is putting in the axles with 4.10 gears. I plan to keep the D300 transfer case, and the 258 (for now, a chevy v8 will likely find its way into the Jeep within 5 years). I know that I will have to go the hydraulic clutch route instead of the linkage set up that the Jeep already has. I guess that I am just looking for comments and opinions on the subject before I proceed. This jeep sees mostly "fun" miles around town, highway, and moderate offroad at the most. All opinions are welcome.
