Just inherited an 81 from my brother it’s been garaged for 15 years driven occasionally but he has never had top off . Should I have a new seal on hand before I start ? I’ve always wanted it needs some TLC but in pretty good only rust issue is on where fenders mount to fire wall a normal condition on what I’ve read.
FYI I worked at Mopar for 30 years I’m the envy of many in the Engineering dept lol

No new seal should be needed. These tops were made to be removed. But if you remove the bulkhead, be prepared for that seal to tear. Unfortunately that seal is not available. There are many different suggestions for sealing the bulkhead to the body.

And welcome!
