I finished tightening bolt and greasing everything. Need to do some serious cleaning this coming weekend. May not get the CB hooked up before I leave. I can hardly wait to get on the road.

Vacuum out the Michigan sand.
Put the half top & doors back on.
Buy a spare tie down strap for the trailer.
Buy water and trail snacks.
Pack every tool I own.

Have already changed the oil, new alternator (didn't need one, bad connection), added a fusible link to the alternator circuit and a separate ground, replaced an exhaust hanger, gave it a bath.

Everything I can think of is actually to the transportation to get out there!

Bus:
-Pick up from shop in NE OH where it's getting a new torque converter, pump seal, deep tranny pan, temp gauge in tranny output, temp gauge in pan and new u-joints in the driveshaft
-install two tranny temp gauges
-pack

Trailer:
-install second pair of new electric brakes/test
-install/reinforce tiedown points
-check wiring when hooked to bus
-install spare tire mount/spare

Postal:
-install new rear belt to replace one swiped for bus use
-pack spare junk/tools
I've already tightened things, lubricated, changed oil, etc.

:fingerscrossed:

Get tools together
Misc. wiring to finish

Get the trailer ready to go: Tool box, tie downs, spare, etc.

This will be my first scrambler event, so I'm sure that I will forget something.

Finally going from coils to coil-overs. Plated the frame 10 years ago when I first built this one. Glad I did, the hoops need some meat to attach to. Should get it done no problem, we roll in a little over a week!

Load it on the trailer.
Buy snacks.
Pack Beth.

I was in good shape last week. Even got as far as cleaning the windshield. Pulled the driver's side wiper back enough to clean, and snapped the rusty spring in the wiper arm. Fixed now.

See y'all soon.

1 of the 4 we plan to bring decide to start dumping oil pretty bad out the rear main.
Dad got it tore down last night and is ready to install seal and slap it back together.
He should finish that up today.

Basically down to packing all the crap that goes along with bringing 3 trucks, 4 Scramblers and my smoker/cooker. Not to mention all items for putting on the National!

no rear end.JPG Get the rear end back under the Jeep. I plan to be there tomorrow afternoon. Brandon has ask if I would lead a group on the trails Saturday. My wife will be with me, and we are looking forward to a good day of trail riding. I will be camped in the white Ford "offroad" van. Come by and say HI. You are going to love SMORR!
