Who manufactured this top?

Hello all, New here and looking for some help. Here is my 85 Scrambler with unknown full length top. From scrolling pictures online, it looks like an Acme top to me. Can anyone confirm this or point me in another direction?

It has a homemade liftgate that needs to be replaced as it doesn't really fit nor seal/rattles. I'd like to find a decent replacement or pass the top along to someone who wants a full length top. Planning to convert to a half cab. IMG_9252.JPG

Acme tops are double walled with a smooth gel coat finish inside. Very heavy tops

The inside isn't very smooth. It has molded dome lights and a (aftermarket) sunroof.

I am guessing it's is an Aj's top. No longer in business. They were in Jersey Shore, Pa

This is an Aj's top. Rear hatch looks like yours. Mounting looks similar also.

Yes, barrys, it looks like we have matching tops. A quick google search doesn't really pull anything up on AJ's tops. Guessing that finding a 'correct' liftgate replacement is highly unlikely. The one in this top is a piece of glass that doesn't fit/seal/close well.

Very doubtful you can just buy a replacement glass. The was a compa y called speed glass that you could buy sheets of and cut to desired shape. It was actually polycarbonate that was scratch resistant. No idea if they are still around.
