World Cab dimensions?

Tried sending a message to Jeff Scherb, but apparently, he isn't open to private messages?

Does anyone know of a source for the World Cab / Postal top dimensions or blueprints? I currently have the ACME raised 'glass top -- but prefer the look of angular postal top. My thought was to fix up the 'glass top and use it while I experiment with making a top from aluminum. I would be taking the time to brace and reinforce the metal. Would also keep the round CJ doors, rather than the sharp corners used on those other factory tops.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the "numbers" ?

Thanks,

Joe

What numbers are you looking for?

I know of no blueprints, but I have 2 world cabs. One is on the Overlander, the other is in pieces and a postal top. I can get dimensions for various places, but be aware they will be accurate but not precise blueprint numbers.

Another option is to contact Matt @donaghy about the Jeff Scherb designed LJ safari top sold at Gr8tops.com. While is is not a -8 top, it was patterned on a world cab. There are probably dimensions floating around for that one.

Jeff spends more time over at JeepForum.com due to his newer Jeeps and designs that center on those platforms.

ag4ever .... general dimensions. Where the rise starts, where the breakover is, how long it is, how much taller (or shorter) the roof is compared to the ACME one, etc. Stuff like that.

jgkgk, when I looked him up here, it showed him viewing yesterday morning. Just assumed he would still check his DMs. I'll look him up over there one of these days.

Jeff is over on Expedition Portal more than Jeep Forum
Good to know. I gave up on JF due to all of the autoplay videos and adds.

I will try to get some dimensions tomorrow. I can’t help with the ACME dimension though.

Ag4 .... I have the ACME one here. It's hanging from the ceiling.

There's not guarantee I will be able to do this. But I'd like to research and give it my best shot. Picking up random parts depending on the deals I find. The body is the white elephant in the room right now ......
