Chamba, where did you get that extended soft top?

I had it made at a marine top fabricator in Vero Beach. Not cheap but really nice quality. They made another one for a good friend of mine in Colorado for $500 but he had to give them his old bestop bikini because they need the plastic lip that goes in the channel at the top of the windshield.
Need a step bumper for my Scrambler restoration. I see you posted a pic of a white step bumper to help a guy in 2019. Can you help me find one? Mine is about rusted in two at the hitch..... Thanks, Rob Love 865-415-1566
Might also be interested in front jeep springs maybe even rear ones too?

Man, you are so in luck! As part of our trip to Michigan we will be really close to you! Are you coming to the Silver Lake event near Muskegon???
Hello. Just saw your post on here that you are from Wisconsin. I just purchased a scrambler a few months ago and am new to the jeep world. Been having a blast so far doing some of the small things and driving around town. I am located in the Wausau area so not to far from you. It has been a great project and learning experience for me. Just thought I would reach out and say hello to another Wisconsinite.

Hello back! That's pretty awesome that you've got a Scrambler for a first Jeep! I've had mine since 98, but took it off the road in 04, and this year has really been the first time I've been driving again since. My back certainly remembers how nice it was to switch to a Grand Cherokee back then! But man is it fun cruising with the top and doors off. I hope to be more active around here.
Thanks for the welcome- Jim
Just looking at your project blue and wondering where you sourced the axles from? I'm doing a very similar frame-down rebuild with the TDK hybrid but using Savvy mid-arm kit for suspension. I'm trying to decide on axles and plan to do complete crate axles (TJ width). Any recommendation is appreciated.

East Coast Gear custom built JK axles cut to TJ width. Hopefully that helps

yep - perfect. May I ask why JK with reduced width and not their complete TJ axles? It looks great - my basic plan is the similar as your build except swapping over my existing CJ-8 parts from frame up including 258 with MPI, existing SM465 and some t-case solution TBD. I plan on using Savvy's mid-arm suspension kit. I'm just starting though, frame delivered this week...

Jk axles are stronger and brakes are bigger with dual piston
Recipe for D44 front narrow track?
I am installing a 1975 OE NT d44. I want to build a front d44 nt, just because. My CJ8 is 4"lift at maximum, 15x10 wheels on 33", 350cid/sm465/d300 3:73, and stock spring under. I drive trail and daily in the summer. Best options for a High Pinion d44 front ( ford f250? ) and axles...and is there a diy list? I can't find one yet.

That’ll involve using a Ford front HP 44, pressing the driver’s side tube out and pressing in a correct length one, maybe a machine shop can handle it. Then cutting the passenger side down to the right length. Outters should be pretty much the same as others.
I’d highly recommend going wider than CJ narrow track width, Between the lift and bigger tires. Send me a private message, I’ll send you my phone number.
getting ready to restore my CJ8 don't know where to start or best place to buy replacement parts and rubber gaskets etc.

I'm interested in bumper end caps, I've read that Scrambler caps will fit my J20. If you need to make multiple sets at a time I can wait my plastic ones are mostly intact just starting to get brittle.
Hi outlaw.. I will be in Austin area tomorrow Wednesday and was wandering if the parts were still available? The top etc??
Please let me know. Thanks Bryan 646-508-3224

😂sorry just realized how old that post is. Love the cage!
I just purchased a TJ air box for my scrambler with the 4.0. I found your thread on how you adapted it to work with your Howell injection setup. I'm mostly curious as to how you mounted it to the fender in the engine compartment. I didn't see any pictures in the thread here and was wondering if you had any that you could share with me as to how you went about mounting the box. Thank you!

I checked and I don't have any photos, sorry. The TJ fender has indents in it to match the bottom of the air box, so what I did is add similar indents to the inside of the CJ fender, I used a body hammer to change the shape and add the indents.

Thank you for getting back to me. I ended up fabricating a couple of brackets to attach it to the fender.
I'd like to purchase a horn button from you. If you'll reply with a venmo username - I'll send over the $30. Thanks
Ok, thanks. On another note, does it look like you'll be having the festivities for Easter week this year out in Moab?

As of now Red Rock 4-wheelers are planning the 2021 Safari. Their website should have the latest info.
Hi Moabite. Have you had any dealings or know anything about Dixie 4WD in Moab? They want to become a customer of mine and I'm trying to get a read on what kind of reputation they have. So far, it seems that they have a large following but that seems to be online. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bugman (Steve)
