Data on Paint Production ?

Hi all,

I’ve looked and haven’t found any data or records on how many cj8s from each year were painted of each color.
Does this data exist?
I’d love to know out of the 5400ish produced in ‘83 how many came off the line in 2A.
For example I have a 83 renegade T5 with a 2A code, mist silver metallic, power steering, power brakes, and a/c. I’ve found they only offered that “name” of that color in 82 & 83. I also researched my interior colors being slate blue, high back buckets with vinyl denim.
I’m assumimg blue dash pad with blue door panels and blue seats, but the denim is throwing me, is that a denim like a Levi or just a vinyl in darker blue?
Anyone here have one close to this build spec?
Unfortunately mine has been repainted beige but I can see the mist silver in the engine bay and will return it to it’s original spec. I found a clean survivor that I will return to spec.

I don't believe the answer to your first question is an answer you are hoping for. Pretty sure that data does not exist.

Denim refers to the pattern on the seat vinyl. From what you posted, your original seat color was slate blue. Slate blue material is one of the hardest to find. Your door panels were very likely slate blue along with the dash.
