CJ-7(6.0L AX15) with a TDK frame build

Great job working through those issues. On my TDK frame, the body mount welded height created a 2” body lift, which made selecting the right coil springs tricky to achieve the desired stance. In the end, I learned a lot about the TDK frame and found it incredibly solid. If I built another one, I’d definitely locate the suspension, body, and engine mounts myself.

To me it's crazy the failures I have found so far. It's not like this is the first frame they have built. The motor mounts being so far off was an epic fail. The suck part is the customer had the frame powdercoated already.

…customer had the frame powdercoated already.
This was my issue too… my lesson was assembly and take apart to finish frame. For a higher price, might be consideration on this build depending on customers budget and goals.

@mysunnshine Another big lesson for me was properly dialing in the front steering geometry on the Jeep. Is this one Crossover or inverted Y setup?

On my build the track bar and drag link positioning were not parallel and different lengths. My frame-side track bar mount was off, which forced me to swap to a different size drop pitman arm. I bent two pitman arms before landing on the right one.

If you want any input on the setup, drop a pic of your front axle.

I currently have the Currie Correctlinc on the Jeep right now. The geometry is/was close but I have to verify again now that the ride height will drop quite a bit from what we thought it would be initially. I definitely will not do another build without the tub again to start with for sure.

Looks awesome.
I too had issues with my TDK frame. Steering box was way too high and flat (practically in the grill). I had to lower it, correct the angle and move it forward.
I also had a TJ style front tube for my sway bar set up. The tube was installed and fully welded, but crooked. It was too late for me to cut it our and fix it as I had my frame galvanized.
2 of the body mounts were lower than every other body mount.
