I run two sets of tires, a set for the street and a set for the trails. I had my bfg krawlwers on H2 rims, but I destroyed them last year at Rausch. So I have them on a set of raceline beadlocks now.
So finished the Jeep last week and then straight to the trails this weekend. Went to AOAA in pa, about 30 minutes west of Rausch creek where nationals was supposed to be held. Great park! 8000 acres of trails. Jeep is now broken in with a few scuffs and scratches. Happy to report it did well.
Been pretty busy the last couple of weeks. Glad to say this project is done!
Cage is installed, modified a tj warn bumper to fit a cj and added a custom tire carrier to it. Wrapped up a bunch of odds and ends. Got the original owner of the Jeep to come by today as well. Happy to say he...
Well this sucked. Pulled old leaky steering box to put in a new one. Broke a capture but in the frame and found out the power line will not tighten down on the new box.
had to cut the frame open from the side and weld in a new nut.
I used the coil wire to power the sniper more than once and have not had an issue. But I did not use that same wire for the ignition system. I upgraded the ignition to hei and used the 10 gauge wire that powered the ignition box on the driver fender to run the distributor.
>:(:cautious:
I would not know b/c the Jeep that this particular thread is about does not have a Painless harness in it....
Come on guys its not that hard, he has another thread started on the forum about this.
No need to duplicate information or clog up my thread please...
No disrespect, but chamba I believe you have another thread on the forum that pertains to this issue you and ag4ever keep referencing.
When I power the sniper kit in my sisters Jeep I will let you know on that thread what wire I tied into for 12v start and crank.
