CJ8 with rocky road YJ spring conversion

So I have the 2.5” lift on. Did the springs, shackles, shocks, sway bars, and transmission drop. All is well except when taking off I hear a sound like metal on metal in first. It also happens in first or second if I let off the gas and then stomp on it to make the Jeep jerk forward. Any thoughts?

Bad u-joints in driveshaft(s) is a good place to start

How close to the firewall is the back of your engine after lowering the gear box? Could it be touching the firewall under torque? Are both engine isolators in good shape?
