I was wondering, I have an 82 CJ8 and was wondering how to tell if the axles are wide-trac or not. Thanks in advance.
 
If you have an 82 it should be a wide track. I can't remember the measurements but i'm sure someone on this board can tell you what a wide track should be.
 
Wide Trac...

Wide Trac are 54". I have narrow, and they 51.5" in the front and 50" in the rear. They are measured from hub to hub. Hopes this helps.

look where the shocks mount to the spring in the front. widetracs mount to a tab welded to the axle tube. narrowtracs mount to the spring plate.
